Do I need to book the same day/days each week?
No :) Our aim is to make life easier for you so if you need flexibility, we will do our very best to help.
Some owners do prefer to reserve the same day/days each week and that's also absolutely fine.
Does my dog need to be neutered/spayed?
We don't expect young puppies to have been neutered or spayed.
However, if you have a boy older than six months, alas we can only accept them if they are neutered.
If you have an adult female who has not been spayed, they are welcome to come for daycare but when their season starts, they would have to stop coming for a good month or more.
What's the latest I can collect my dog after daycare?
Daycare finishes at 6pm every evening.
We do ask that owners arrive no later than this, as we still have to do admin and cleaning once all our gorgeous pups go home :)
do you offer weekend boarding?
Yes, we do take care of regular daycare dogs for weekends also.
We are not available every weekend - so if you have some special dates in mind, please let us know as soon as possible so we can keep them free for you:)

How do I arrange to send my dog for daycare/boarding
All new dogs must come for a meet and greet so that I can get a sense of their energy level, whether they are confident or maybe a bit shy, and how they respond to other dogs, people, and the world in general.
The meet is a walk which lasts for around an hour and it's also a chance for you to ask as many questions as you like regarding daycare etc.
Each daycare is a bit different, just as every dog is different with their own unique personalities and needs.
The top priority is always that your dog will be happy and relaxed.
If it seems that we would be a good fit, we will arrange a day for your dog to come and meet some of our other lovely daycare pups.
If you are looking for boarding, your dog will need to come first for a day, and then for a day/night, so we can ensure they settle and relax.

Small-group refers to the number of dogs. We intentionally keep numbers low so we can supervise dogs properly, understand their individual needs, and maintain a calm, friendly atmosphere.

Dexter’s Dogs is based in Borehamwood and is a short, straightforward journey from both Radlett and Elstree. For many owners, the calmer environment and constant supervision are well worth the very short drive.
We offer pick-up and drop off for dogs who come to daycare three times weekly or more.

Many of our daycare dogs are from Radlett, Elstree, and surrounding areas. Many owners choose us for our calm, small-group approach and full supervision.
where do guest dogs sleep when they board?
Some sleep in our rooms and on our beds - others prefer to sleep downstairs on one of the big sofas or on a cosy pet bed. Sleeping arrangements are always guided by the individual dog’s needs. The photo just above for example, shows two girls who are best friends, who have been coming here for daycare together for years, and who always choose to curl up together when they're both boarding with us:)
