We deliberately keep our daycare small so every dog receives plenty of individual attention and becomes part of a familiar, settled group.

Dexter’s Dogs is intentionally small. We offer cosy, home-style care - NOT a large field-based / kennel-style environment.

At Dexter’s Dogs, you will always deal directly with me, Tabatha.
From your first enquiry and meet-and-greet through to regular daycare, boarding arrangements and daily updates, I remain your point of contact throughout.
There are no changing staff, rotating handlers or different people managing your dog from week to week. This continuity means I get to know each dog really well.
For dogs, familiar people and routines can make a huge difference. For owners, it means clear communication, consistency and the reassurance of knowing exactly who is caring for your dog.

We are tucked away in a quiet cul- de-sac, and three steps from our front door are wonderful rolling fields and woods. It's a real paradise for pooches!
We offer all the comforts of home, with large squashy sofas and luxurious pet beds, plus a secure and private garden.
And as there are two of us, our guest dogs are never left alone.
ABOUT US
We are both lifelong dog owners, and we have each fostered and rescued several times.
Over the past fifteen years, we have been privileged to care for many different types and breeds.
Most of our regulars started coming here as young puppies and we have watched them mature into wonderful adult dogs.
Seeing the friendships that develop between them is a real joy to behold.
Any new members of the group are carefully vetted to ensure that only soft-natured, sociable dogs become part of the gang :)

To ensure that we are the perfect fit for all of our guest dogs, we offer the following joining process:

Trial day - to ensure your dog is happy and relaxed
Most of our dogs attend on a regular weekly basis, allowing them to become part of a familiar, settled group.
We are best suited to dogs who enjoy social interaction in small groups.
Spaces are limited to maintain a calm environment; we keep numbers low intentionally.

Dexter’s Dogs provides small-group dog daycare in Borehamwood, ideally located for owners in Radlett, Elstree, Shenley and surrounding areas. Unlike large commercial daycare settings, our dogs spend their day in a comfortable home environment with a maximum of six dogs, supervised throughout the day. With fields and woodland immediately outside our door, our daycare dogs enjoy enriching walks, social play, rest and individual attention.
